Dr. Monte’ Demars
Connally Junior High Principal
Dr. Monte’ L. Demars is a native of Louisiana, and a proud graduate of Northwestern State University, where he earned a Bachelor of General Studies degree with a concentration in Language and Communications. He later earned a Master’s degree in Education from Louisiana Christian University and received his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. He began his administrative career in Shreveport, Louisiana, as an assistant principal where he served as a turnaround leader, helping move a chronically failing campus to a “B” performance rating. One of Dr. Demars’s most impactful leadership experiences came while serving as a turnaround principal at International Leadership of Texas. There, he significantly reduced office discipline referrals, transformed the culture and climate of the campus, and increased the school’s accountability rating by 22 points within one academic year. He is known for his ability to implement systems of change while empowering others to reach their fullest potential.
